On November 12, SHOU held the Arctic Marine Cooperation Research Seminar & Russia and the Arctic Book Launch at Meeting Room 101 of the Tuwen Information Center. Present at the seminar were Norwegian and Chinese experts and scholars devoted to Arctic research. All of them came from the member units of China-Nordic Arctic Research Center (CNARC).
Wu Jiamin, Secretary of SHOU CPC Committee, delivered an opening speech, and introduced the achievements of SHOU in recent years in the fields of Arctic marine biological resource conservation, habitat & ecology protection, Arctic strategies, etc. Professor Zhu Guoping, Director of the Polar Research Center of SHOU, gave a further introduction to the research teams established around Arctic biological resources & ecology, Arctic governance, and other research topics, and the future directions of Arctic research.
