Recently, the presidents of Bangor University and Jagannath University have sent their consolation letters and videos to SHOU for the COVID-19 outbreak. Professor Iwan Davies, President of Bangor University, said in the video that, after learning of the big challenges faced by China, he was fully confident in China’s ability to fight the outbreak, and closely concerned with his friends and partners in China. He expressed his wish that everyone would work together to get through the harsh times. Iwan Davies also promised that they would take care of our students studying at Bangor University. Bangor University is fighting side by side with Chinese friends, and cheering up for Wuhan and for China!
Jagannath University has paid close attention to our students there after the outbreak. Mijanur Rahman, President of Jagannath University, said in the consolation letter that some students and citizens had unfortunately lost their lives during the outbreak, and that he sympathized with the Chinese people. Bangladesh treats China as an outstanding friend, and no doubt many Bangladeshi people have expressed their sympathies with China. As a partner, they have seen the efficiency and confidence of the Chinese government in dealing with the sudden outbreak of COVID-19, and are full of confidence that the Chinese government will soon win the battle against the coronavirus. They have also extended their wish and offered their support to the Chinese people, to our doctors and nurses, and to the teachers and students of SHOU.
