On the morning of April 6, the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between SHOU and the University of Akron was held in the meeting room 302 of SHOU College of Engineering. Professor Donald P. Visco Jr., Dean of the College of Engineering of the University of Akron; Zhao Yuhua, Assistant Dean; heads of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation and the College of Engineering of SHOU; and some teacher representatives present at the ceremony.
Zhong Junsheng, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office, warmly welcomed the delegation of Professor Visco, introduced the College of Engineering and its work in international exchange and cooperation, and expressed his hope that, on the basis of this cooperation agreement, the exchange and cooperation between the two universities would be further promoted in related majors and in terms of faculty training, academic research, etc. Wang Shiming and Prof. Donald P. Visco Jr. also spoke at the signing ceremony.
After the ceremony, Professor Visco held a workshop with the faculty and student representatives of the College of Engineering, exchanged opinions with them about “3+2” cooperation program, short-term summer overseas study program and other issues, and also visited the laboratory of the College of Engineering.
