From September to December, 2016, the Ministry of Education organized and carried out 5-year periodic evaluation for key laboratories of life sciences under the Ministry of Education. Based on the results from preliminary evaluation, site survey and comprehensive evaluation, 26 laboratories in life sciences, including cell proliferation and differentiation laboratory, were evaluated as Excellent among the 156 laboratories of life sciences, 116 laboratories, including tea biochemistry and biotechnology laboratories, as Good and the remaining 14 laboratories failed the evaluation. SHOU’s Ocean fisheries resources sustainable development and fisheries genetic resources development and exploitation laboratories were evaluated as Good.
