In Nov. 2016, the first issue paper of Aquaculture and Fisheries, the first English academic journal of the fishery field, was formally released ScienceDirect, an international journal platform affiliated to Elsevier (online website: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/aip/2468550X, available for free download and reading by scientific researchers worldwide and for direct online contribution). It suggests that, since its beginning, the journal has taken a high starting point in the international community, and laid a solid basis for improving its industrial reputation and expanding its international influence. Meanwhile, all the papers will be published on the journal’s own website (http://www.aquacultfish.com/). The website is also available for free download and reading, and for online contribution and review.
The formal release of the English journal is inseparable from the absolute solidarity and joint efforts of all the members of the journal editorial department, and also inseparable from the support of both writers and readers. Under the substantial support of the university, China Society of Fisheries and Science Press as well as writers and readers and under the leadership of the editorial board, the journal editorial department will unite together to rank the journal among high-grade international academic journals in the fishery field.
