On September 23 to 25, 2016, the Third “China-Japan-Korea Graduate Student Academic Forum” was held in Dalian Ocean University. Themed on “Harmonious Ocean · Ecological Development”, this forum has attracted a number of teachers and students from Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, Korean Kunsan National University, Ocean University of China, Zhejiang Ocean University, Guangdong Ocean University, Dalian Ocean University, Chinese Academy of Sciences and other universities and scientific research institutes. 23 graduate students of our university, led by Professor Leng Xiangjun, Assistant Dean of the Graduate School and Cao Genping, participated in this forum. It was the largest delegation among all participating units.

Professor Song Linsheng, Vice President of Dalian Ocean University, Professor Jae-Sam Yang of Korean Kunsan National University, Professor Li Chenghua of Ningbo University made splendid reports on the theme of forum, shared their academic achievements with graduate students and passionately interacted with all participants. Graduate students of our university, including Qiu Liang, Huang Shu, Dang Yunfei, Han Xuekai, Yu Mengchao, Sheng Nan, Wang Shaoxuan made brilliant oral reports in the English session and Chinese session respectively. They introduced their research achievements and won high praises. Finally, the thesis of Han Xuekai, Genetic Linkage Map Construction and QTL Analysis for Pearl Production Traits in Hyriopsis Cumingii, won the first prize of forum reports. The Establishment of the Real-time Loop-mediated Isothermal Amplification Method for Detecting a New Plant Type of Yellow Head Virus (YHV-8) of Qiuliang and the Comparative Transcriptome Research on the Adaptive Evolution of Schizothoracinae in Tibet Plateau of Yu Mengchao both won the third prizes. Four students won the prizes for excellent forum reports.
