Researcher Yang Hongsheng is Deputy Director, Deputy Secretary of PartyCommittee and Secretary of Committee for Discipline Inspection of the Instituteof Oceanology affiliated to Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is the NationalCandidate of the “New Century National Hundred, “Young and Middle-aged Experts with OutstandingContributions in Shandong Province” in 2009, Qingdao Municipal-level LaborModel in 2012, Exceptional Young Talent of Qingdao in 2013, and TaishanDistinguished Expert in 2015. He took in charge of a dozen of state-level majorprojects, such as National 973 Program, National 863 Program, National KeyTechnology Support Program, National Natural Science Foundation, and StateOceanic Administration Public Welfare Industry Special Major Projects and hadwon the first prize of the Technical Innovation Award in Shandong Province, andthe first prize and second prize of the Award for Science and TechnologyProgress in Shandong. Being long engaged in researches on aquaculture ecologyand aquaculture facility, habitat rehabilitation and resource conservation,stichopus biology and genetic breading, Mr. Yang has made a number ofsignificant theoretical and technological achievements in sea cumber biologyand its cultivation technique, marine environment modification and marineranching construction.
