June 8 is the UN-announced World Oceans Day andChina’s Ocean Propaganda Day. To carry out the strategy of maritime power,popularize ocean science, improve ocean awareness and create favorableenvironment for loving and protecting the oceans, Shanghai Ocean Universityorganized and started the World Oceans Day and National Ocean Propaganda Dayactivity series.

In the afternoon of June 8, Diaoyu Islands History and Sovereignty PhotoExhibition was unveiled in Shanghai Ocean University by Party Secretary WuJiamin and President Dong Yonghua of Datuan Senior High School affiliated to ShanghaiOcean University. The ceremony was presided by Zheng Weidong, standingcommittee member and head of propaganda department. Representatives from headof archives room of other marine universities, students and faculties of DatuanSenior High School, Linggang No. 1 Middle School, Linggang No. 1 Primary School,and Mingzhu Primary School attended the ceremony.
