Professor Xie Jing Selected for 2015 National Talent Project

Shanghai Municipal Human Resources and Social SecurityBureaurecently announced that Prof. Xie Jing from College of Food Science and Technology, SHOU was selected for the 2015 National Talent Project, and was awarded the title of “Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions” by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.  It is the third year in a row that SHOU has won recognition fromthis national talent project.

This project aims at high-level middle-aged elite talented peoplein various enterprises and institutions who work at the frontier of science and technology, and are capable of leading and supporting the rapid development in key scientific and technological fields in China.  Its selection is based on Shanghai Outline for Middle and Long-term Talent Development Planning and on the key areas of socioeconomic development defined in the national and Shanghai outline for middle and long-term scientific and technological development planning, and gives priority to leading middle-aged talented peoplewho pioneer original innovation in fundamental theories and drive innovative development of fundamental disciplines.  Hitherto, five professors of SHOU have been selected for the National Talent Project.
