Journal of Fisheries of China ranked among Excellent Chinese Journals with International Influence

The release conference of Impact Factor Annals of Chinese Academic Journals & Annals of International Reference, 2015 Edition(a journaldeveloped by E-periodicals Office of Chinese Academic Journals (CD Version), Chinese Evaluation Research Center of Scientific and Technological Literature and Library of Tsinghua University) was held in Beijing from December 18 to19, 2015.  Journal of Fisheries of China, sponsored by SHOU and with Prof. Huang Shuoling as the editor-in-chief, was once again ranked among Excellent Chinese Journals with International Influence.It was the only one of its kind in the field of fisheries. 

The Excellent Chinese Journals with International Influence are ranked on the basis of the CAJ International Reference Report and in accordance with the total reference frequency of Chinese journals in SCI and SSCI journals in 2014.  Through review of 40 experts, 175 journals are selected from 6306 Chinese journals to form the Excellent Chinese Journals with International Influence (on natural sciences and engineering technology), whose total reference frequency is respectively higher than 1329 SCI journals.  Statistical results show that in terms of quantitative analysis, the Excellent Chinese Journals with International Influence have enjoyed relatively high international influence and are well recognized as the international journals, indicating the impressive effect of the“go global” strategy of Chinese journals. 

As of 2014, a new English website was designedfor Journal of Fisheries of China, and the rules for Chinese and English versions and reference records were adjusted accordingly.  In 2015, the journal was sent to Scopus Databank by China Research Institute of Science and Technology Information, and passed the initial review.  The fact that it was once again selected into the Excellent Chinese Journals with International Influence indicates that the journal is gaining on its international impact in the field of fisheries.
