SHOU made new progress in construction of English-taught demonstrative courses for international students. After International Economics led by Yang Wei and Nutrition Physiology and Feeds for Aquatic Animals led by Wu Xugan were approved for English-taught demonstrative courses for international students, more courses were selected to join the project in 2015 after a review of experts. These classes include Applied Statistics led by Zhang Zhengyu, Biological Informatics led by Li Chenghong, Biological Pharmacology led by Wang Chunxiao, Phytobiology led by Sun Zhen, Embedded System and Its Application led by Chi Tao, Theoretical Mechanics led by Cui Weicheng, Coastal Zone Management led by Lin Quanling, and Introduction to Artificial Intelligence led by Wang Dexing.
The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Education tries to manage the English-taught courses for international students by launching the course construction project. By way of building the course bank, a number of fine courses and feature specialties at municipal level will crop up, thus promoting construction of a platform of quality courses for international students across the city.
