Speaker Biography

Dr. Jin Liu is anassistant professor at Peking University. Dr. Liu received a BSc in biology and an MSc inbiochemistry and molecular biology from Sun Yat-sen University, and a PhD inalgal biotechnology from The University of Hong Kong. Before joining PekingUniversity, he worked in Arizona State University as a postdoc associate and inUniversity of Maryland as an assistant research scientist.  Particular areasof expertise include molecular biology, genetic engineering, biotechnology,transcriptomics, mass cultivation, algal physiology, algal biofuels andhigh-value products. Published over 30 peer-reviewed research articles on topjournals of algae fields, wrote 7 book chapters and currently editing a bookRecent Advances in Microalgal Biotechnology published by Omicsgroup. Severed asthe lead guest editor for special issue of BioMed Research International andeditorial board members of several peer-reviewed journals.
