In the afternoon on May 15, framework agreement on cooperation with science and technology and talent development was signed between Fujian Minwei Industrial Co., Ltd and Shanghai Ocean University in the meeting room on the 12th floor of the Information Center. Party Secretary Wu Jiamin and President Fang Xiu of Fujian Minwei Industrial Co., Ltd signed the agreement.
President Fang Xiu introduced company development situations, expressed thanks for the long-standing help and support to the company by our university and hoped to intensify cooperation on science and technology, product development and application and talent development so as to find out the chances for mutual development and help alma mater develop better.
Wu Jiamin pointed out in his speech that, after nearly a hundred ‘years’development, the university has made great progress in connotation construction, scale and competitiveness and was trying to transform from conventional aquaculture university to a new marine university, actively serving China’s sea power strategy, aligning with industry demands and making full use of the functions of the university in terms of scientific research, talent development and social service. He pointed out that our university would not develop without the help and support from enterprises. By signing cooperation framework agreement, the contents and forms of cooperation would be enriched and the advantages of both the university and the enterprises fully utilized. He hoped to make breakthroughs in relevant scientific fields so as to improve university-industry cooperation and talent development quality and realize win-win goals.
