Director Zhao Xingwu of Fisheries Administrative Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture congratulated the 30th anniversary symposium for the distant water fisheries of our university and thanked for our contributions to the development of offshore fisheries. He said that offshore fishery was the pioneer in China’s “Going-out” strategy, has been growing up increasingly for the past 30 years and has played an important role in China’s social and economic development and in safeguarding national interests. He said schools were a participant, facilitator, advocate, supporter, researcher and talent cultivator for China’s pelagic fisheries industry, the best tutor and the loveliest people for the development in pelagic fisheries and the Fisheries Administrative Bureau would continue to support the development of our university as ever.
