Our University Signed Mutual Agreement on Academic Exchange and Cooperation with Washington State University

On the morning of May 29, 2014, a four-person delegation from Washington State University led by Vice President Daniel John Bernardo visited our university and signed an inter-school exchange and cooperation agreement with our university. Leaders of our university like Cheng Yudong and Wu Jiannong, together with other leaders from relevant departments and colleges, attended the signing ceremony.

Cheng Yudong extended a warm welcome to the delegation of Washington State University and introduced the development and subject characteristics of our university as well as the cooperation and exchange between the two universities. He expressed his hope to further strengthen the link between the two universities, to cooperate with each other on the fields like microwave sterilization technologies and to constantly expand the fields of cooperation and exchange. Vice President Daniel John Bernardo introduced the major setup and international exchange and cooperation of Washington State University and expressed his hope to carry out wider cooperation and exchange with our university.

President Cheng Yudong and Vice President Daniel John Bernardo, as the representatives of the two parties, signed an academic exchange and cooperation agreement. The signing of this academic exchange agreement indicated the substantive cooperation between the two universities and laid a deepfoundation for further cooperation and development between the two parties.


Discussions between Two Parties

In the afternoon, Vice President Daniel John Bernardo had an in-depth exchange and reached extensive consensus on the scientific and technological cooperation between the two universities and the postgraduate education with Vice President Huang Shuolin and leaders from Science and Technology Department, Graduate School and College of Food Science.
