The release date:2015-01-21view:1316Set

With Professor Li Xiaofeng of our university as editor-in-chief and academician Guo Huadong from Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth, Chinese Academy of Sciences as associate editor-in-chief, through 1 year of preparation, International Journal of Remote Sensing China Sea Special Issue was published this month. Consisting of two volumes, including 40 academic papers coming from 40 research institutions and 150 foreign and domestic researchers, which are classified into 10 parts (including SAR ocean application, ocean color, sea surface temperature, sea level elevation, salinity of sea water, marine fishery, sea level phenomenon, ocean load calibration/reality testing, and ocean foundation radar observation), this special issue is so far the largest China sea remote sensing special issue. Totally, 4 first-author (young teachers: Ding Xianwen, Yu Tan, Li Gang and Zhang Xinfeng) papers and 1 second-author (2012 postgraduate student: Liu Bingqing) paper from our university were selected in this special issue. It reflects the progress and power of our university in the field of ocean remote sensing. One of the illustrations of the paper jointly written by Liu Bingqing and scientific researchers from Washington University was selected as the cover of the China Sea special issue.

With its editorial department headquartered in Britain, International Journal of Remote Sensing has 24 issues every year. In the past 4 years, International Journal of Remote Sensing is the world largest SCI remote sensing journal and has extreme influence in the remote sensing and other scientific and technological fields. Since 1994, International Journal of Remote Sensing has published scientific papers written by authors from 122 countries and such papers have been cited over 8,600 times.
