Our University and Japan National Fisheries University Successfully Held the First Postgraduate Students Academic Exchange Meeting

From October 9 to 12, Zhong Junsheng, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office, and Wang Xichang, Dean of the College of Food Science, led 6 postgraduate students from the College of of Oceanography, Fisheries and Food Science to visit National Fisheries University and participate in the first postgraduate students' academic exchange meeting.


In the symposium, 12 postgraduate students from the two universities made academic reports of their achievements in scientific research. Doctoral degree candidate Jiang Hucheng and master degree candidate Liu Chen from College of Fisheries and Life Science, doctoral degree candidate Zhou Cheng and master degree candidate Zhu Xiaoyan from the College of Oceanography, and doctoral degree candidate Wang Shuai and master degree candidate Zhou Yu all made outstanding academic reports. In the warm atmosphere, the participating professors and students raised questions one after another and had intensive discussions. Our postgraduate students' achievements in scientific research and ability to communicate also left a deep impression on the Japanese teachers and students. The two-day visit not only enriched the achievement of academic exchange between the two universities and expanded the international vision of postgraduate students, but also improved the exchange and understanding between the postgraduate students of the two universities.

On October 11, the opening day at National Fisheries University, in the public symposium named Aquaculture in Japan and China held in National Fisheries University, Professor Zhong Junsheng, Professor Wang Xichang and Professor 中里 靖 made public speeches named Early Protection of Fishery Resources in Changjiang Estuary and Surrounding Sea Area in China, Current Situation and Development Trend of Chinese Aquaculture Processing and Trend of Japanese Aquaculture, respectively. All seats were occupied in the meeting hall. Not only teachers and students of National Fisheries University, but also participants from external research institutions and societies attended the meeting. The organizers and participants spoke highly of these lectures.

During the academic exchange, these postgraduate students also visited In-the-Ocean new student experience hall, food processing factory attached to the school, and the aquaculture water channel and simulated water channel for marine fishing in the campus of National Fisheries University, which left unforgettable impressions on everyone.
