On behalf of Shanghai Ocean University, it is our greatest pleasure to announce the election of Professor Yudong CHENG as our new president, effective from Dec. 13th, 2013. Professor CHENG brings to the role an extraordinary depth and breadth of experience – as an alumnus, as a faculty member and as the vice president of Shanghai Ocean University.
At the same time, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Professor Yingjie PAN, our former president, for his thoughtful leadership, sage counsel and exceptional contribution to SOU through a decade in this demanding role.
