Our faculties attend the 16th session of the IOTC Meeting

Authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Bureau, Chinese fisheries scientists delegation headed by Professor Xu Liuxiong and associate professor Zhu Jiangfeng in Marine Science Institute attended the 16th IOTC (Indian Ocean Tuna Commission, IOTC) scientific sub-Committee meeting on December 2-6 in Busan, South Korea.

The meeting heard the National Reports of Indian Ocean Tuna Fisheries in 2012 made by Member States, and it also reviewed the work report submitted by the Secretariat of Indian Ocean Tuna Commission (IOTC) in 2012, the work report submitted by the working group of Tropical Tuna (WPTT), the working group of billfish (WPB), the working group of bycatch and ecosystem (WPBE), the working group of data collection and statistics (WPDCS) and other sub-committee under the IOTC, as well as the scientific recommendations discussed or passed in the committee meeting of the General Assembly held in May next year.
