On the afternoon of December 3, 2013, Rui Reis, Vice-president of University of Minho, Portugal visited SHOU. Vice president Huang ShuoLin hopes that the two universities could establish long-term friendly cooperative relations and strengthen cooperation in marine organisms and other disciplines. Vice president Rui Reis also hopes to unfold cooperation of scientific research, and points out that since University of Minho has long-term commitment to various research projects funded by the European Commission, their part can coordinate the academic exchange programs for faculties and students funded by European part.
During the visit, Vice President Rui Reis also talked with the faculties from the college of Fisheries and Life Science and the College of Food Science on the cooperative direction of marine products utilization research. Both sides expressed their willingness to cooperate in the exchange of scientific research.
