President Pan Yingjie extended warm welcome to the visit of French Polynesia government delegation and President Wang Cheng and his colleagues from Jingmin Fisheries Investment Management Co. Ltd. He stated that SHOU has been a hundred-year-old university featuring marine science, fisheries and food science, with strong competitiveness in fisheries and aquaculture. Moreover, SHOU has extensive international cooperation and has strengthened technological cooperation and exchange with South Pacific island countries. Therefore, President Pan Yingjie hoped that the three parties can give play to complementary advantages in terms of marine sciences, fisheries, food sciences, talent cultivation and technology development, etc, achieving sustainable development in marine science and research.
 
Minister Tearii ALPHA confirmed that cooperation with SHOU and Jingmin Fisheries Management Investment Co. Ltd. will provide great technological support to the development and research in marine sciences and aquaculture in Polynesia. He hoped that SHOU can provide support in terms of staff exchange and talent cultivation, expecting to have multi-level cooperation with SHOU in order to promote the technological level of marine in Polynesia.
 
The signing of cooperation agreement between the three parties can further broaden the cooperation with international governments and industries, which will promote international cooperation of mutual benefit.
